Tarrant Area Food Bank will be issuing WIC Vouchers for the Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and Vouchers for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) at Cowtown Farmers Market, Veterans Park on Saturdays from May-September and on Wednesdays from mid-June to mid-August.

This FMNP volunteer opportunity requires completion of two trainings and the logging of training completion dates prior to registering for specific dates:

Step 1: Watch the Annual S/FMNP Training; the slide deck allows access to the links as needed.

Step 2: TDA Civil Rights Training OR Civil Rights Training, HHSC SNAP-Ed

Step 3: Log the Completion of Trainings
*When your trainings are complete and logged, you will be ready to volunteer. If you have not completed your trainings 1 week prior to your scheduled market, you will be contacted by staff as a reminder to complete trainings or cancel your volunteer registration.
You will help increase access to fresh, local produce while working in a fun outdoor community environment on Saturdays and/or Wednesdays from 7:45am-12:15pm, you will help increase access to fresh, local produce.
Assignments may include:

Greeting marketgoers

Issuing WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) vouchers to families who receive WIC benefits or Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) vouchers to adults age 60+ who qualify as low income

Answering questions about using vouchers

Providing excellent customer service to families receiving vouchers
