Worship on Wednesday-offers worship, a free shared community meal, and Bible classes for all ages.
As a volunteer in this role, you will have the opportunity to welcome and greet guests as they arrive for First HAND Ministries faith-based evening event. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that all guests feel welcome and comfortable, providing directions, and answering questions as needed. You will also assist with serving dinner to guests, including preparing and setting up food, serving meals, and cleaning up after the event. This will involve working with a team of volunteers to ensure that all guests are served efficiently and with care. In addition to dinner service, you will help with after-dinner activities, such as games, crafts, or other fun activities that promote fellowship and community building among guests. This may also include cleanup and tidying up after the event.
Overall, this role requires a friendly and outgoing demeanor, as well as an ability to work with a diverse group of people. Volunteers must be 18 years and older are welcome to volunteer with this food pantry. If you are under 18+, you must be accompanied by a guardian.
Closed-toed shoes are required, and we recommend comfortable clothing and long sleeve shirts.
