We are building advocacy, collaboration, and ownership in Home Deliveries!
Home Deliveries is a program hosted in Volunteer Services. Every week, we are sending out 5800 – 7200 pounds of food right to our clients’ doors. Our 25-LB boxes are assembled by volunteers in QC and distributed from our docks to Amazon and Door Dash drivers – that’s where you come in!
All activities are at the 2600 location.
Roles:
Traffic direction – You will make sure the drivers remain organized as they pick up.
Pickup List Verification – You will check with each driver to verify their pickups (checking names on a list).
Loaders – You will assist the drivers picking up to ensure that every driver gets the correct amount of boxes. (Building rapport with our drivers is very important – they are the key to this program’s success!)
Mondays: Amazon Flex (1 Hour Shift)
- Program Walkthrough – 12:30
- We will discuss how the Home Delivery Program works! Everything from who our clients are to what’s in the boxes we send.
- Setup - 12:45
- We will prep the pallets and set up in the parking lot with our sign and lists. Drivers will begin to line up. You will receive your role assignment and instructions.
- Amazon Flex drivers pick up - 1:00
- All packages should be picked up by 1:30, 2:00 at the latest. You are released at this time.
Thursdays: Amazon Flex (1 Hour Shift)

Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
