Individuals are invited to volunteer in our Cleanroom at Tarrant Area Food Bank's distribution center, where bulk donated food products are sorted, inspected, weighed, packed and sealed for distribution to a network of partner organizations in a 13-county area. Volunteers in our Cleanroom make a BIG impact by helping to ensure that our neighbors in need receive safe, quality food.
Volunteer roles can include, but are not limited to:
- Sorting, and weighing bulk grocery items
- Preparing bags with safe quality food items
- Sealing bags with product
- Sanitizing
- Sweeping/Mopping
- Taking cardboard to onsite compactor
Unless other arrangements are made, volunteers should be able to stand for extended periods of time
