If you want to see a direct impact in your community then Tarrant County College’s Community Market is the opportunity for you. This opportunity would be great for volunteers who are interested in social interaction and light physical activity. This would also be the perfect opportunity for Corporate groups, Youth groups, and Service Leagues who are interested in serving their communities and building comradery amongst teams. Volunteers can expect to greet volunteers, carry groceries for clients, sort and stock groceries for clients choosing, push and load carts for clients and carry groceries to client’s cars.
Volunteers roles may include but are not limited to:
- Greeter and line monitor
- Registration Assistant
- Parking Lot Attendant
- Shopper Assistant
- Set up/Clean up
- Carrying Groceries to Vehicles
***Individuals as young as 8 years old are invited to volunteer; however, ages 8-14 years old MUST have an adult chaperone.*** Volunteers must be able to lift 10 pounds, stand for periods at a time and work in a location that is not temperature controlled.
