Are you ready to make a difference in your community? We invite both groups and individuals to join us for Produce Boxing at the Tarrant Area Food Bank's distribution center. This is your chance to help sort, pack, and distribute fresh, nutritious produce to families in need across our 13-county service area.
Access to fresh fruits and vegetables is essential for a healthy diet, yet many families in our community struggle to have them. At Tarrant Area Food Bank, we are working to increase the amount of fresh produce available in our network, ensuring that nutritious options reach more households. By volunteering, you play a vital role in this mission, helping us provide healthy food to neighbors who need it most.

If you're planning to volunteer with a group of over 20 people, please fill out our group volunteer interest form. We'll connect with you to confirm your spot and provide all the details you need.
What You'll Do:
- Sort and pack fresh produce
- Prepare produce boxes
- Ensure the quality and freshness of produce
Volunteers should be able to stand for extended periods and lift weights ranging from 30 to 40 pounds.
Who Can Volunteer?
- Age Requirements: Volunteers as young as 12 years old and 55 inches tall are welcome.
- Chaperone Guidelines: For children aged 12-13, one adult chaperone is required for every 1 to 3 children. For youth aged 14-15, one adult chaperone is needed for every 1 to 10 volunteers. Safety is our top priority, so these guidelines are strictly followed.
