Join Our Home Deliveries Volunteer Team and Make a Real Impact!
Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity where you can make a difference in your community? Join us in our Home Deliveries program! Every week, we send out an incredible 5,800 to 7,200 pounds of food directly to our neighbors' doors — and you can be part of the action.
Why Volunteer with Home Deliveries? Our 20-lb food boxes are assembled by dedicated volunteers and distributed from our docks to Amazon drivers. But we can’t do it without YOU! By volunteering, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring food security for families in need. All activities take place at our 2600 location (in front of our volunteer center), and we have roles to fit every interest and ability.
Volunteer Roles Available:
Traffic Director: Keep the process running smoothly by guiding drivers as they pick up food boxes.
Pickup List Verifier: Double-check each driver's pickup list to ensure every order is accurate.
Loader: Assist drivers with loading boxes into their vehicles, ensuring they get the correct number of boxes. This role also offers the chance to build connections with our drivers, who are the key to this program’s success.
When Can You Volunteer? We offer two distribution days each week, so you can choose the time that works best for you
Monday Distribution
Program Walkthrough/Setup: 12:50PM — Prepare pallets, set up signs, and review role assignments.
Amazon Flex Driver Pickup: 1:00PM — Help with driver pickups. All packages should be picked up by 2:00PM. Volunteers are released once pickups are complete.
Thursday Distribution
Program Walkthrough/Setup: 1:50PM — Prepare pallets, set up signs, and review role assignments.
Amazon Flex Driver Pickup: 2:00PM — Help with driver pickups. All packages should be picked up by 3:00PM. Volunteers are released once pickups are complete.
Requirements
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
Commitment to teamwork and a positive attitude.
Who Can Volunteer?
Individuals, groups, and community members looking to give back.
Court-ordered or lawyer-referred volunteers are welcome.
