Northside Inter-Community Agency, Inc. (NICA) has served the northside and surrounding communities for more than 50 years. Our mission is to aid, empower, provide, and connect individuals and families to resources and opportunities to strengthen themselves and their families, ultimately strengthening communities. Our motto is "Offering a Helping Hand." We see and serve more than 100 of our friends and families a day. We value dignity and worth, respect, and integrity, and we are driven by the sight of seeing others succeeding for themselves and sharing what they learned to their neighbors.
We strive to help our communities grow and prosper, and we think the best way is to ensure our fellow neighbors are in a position to help others. This is why we aim for long-term goals and offer a hand-up vs. hand-out approach.
NICA provides direct aid to people with pressing needs. We assist 70 - 100 people daily with groceries and hygiene items, and throughout the year we assist with repairs to our senior citizen's homes, and help kids take the right steps towards college.
