Volunteer: Partner Agency- Community Crossroads Food Pantry As a volunteer in this role, you will have the opportunity to assist with various tasks related to clothing and food distribution. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving clothing donations and sorting through them to ensure that they are in good condition and appropriate for distribution. You will also help with the organization and maintenance of the Clothing Closet, where donated clothing is stored for distribution to those in need. In addition to clothing distribution, you will also help with the Choice Pantry, which provides food to individuals and families in need. This may include sorting through food donations, stocking shelves, and helping neighbors select items from the pantry. You will also assist with hospitality tasks such as breakfast distribution, sack lunch preparation and distribution, and providing a Listening Post for neighbors who need someone to talk to. Overall, this role requires a friendly and compassionate demeanor, as well as an ability to work with a diverse group of people. Previous experience in a similar role is not necessary, but it is helpful. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring that all guests feel welcome and comfortable, providing directions, and answering questions as needed. You will also assist with serving dinner to guests, including preparing and setting up food, serving meals, and cleaning up after the event. This will involve working with a team of volunteers to ensure that all guests are served efficiently and with care. In addition to dinner service, you will help with after-dinner activities, such as games, crafts, or other fun activities that promote fellowship and community building among guests. This may also include cleanup and tidying up after the event. Overall, this role requires a friendly and outgoing demeanor, as well as an ability to work with a diverse group of people.
