OUR MISSION

The Mission of the Ridglea Giving Garden is to cultivate a community gardening space to produce healthy food for our neighbors in need, regenerate Earth’s resources, and provide gardening education. 

Volunteers are vital to help us reach this mission!

Volunteer Information:

· Dress appropriately for weather conditions in layered clothing that can get dirty, and close-toed shoes or boots;

· Protect yourself from the sun with hats, clothing, sunshades, and sunscreen;

· You are encouraged to bring your own water and garden gloves. Water and extra gloves will be provided if needed;

· Volunteer roles include but are not limited to weeding, watering, planting, harvesting and composting. No previous experience is needed;

· If you have a severe allergy to anything found in an outdoor environment, please bring needed prevention and response items; and

· We encourage self-screening for wellness and practicing good health hygiene.

Sign up Requirements:

· Age: minimum age 8; ages 8-12 must have at least one adult volunteering with every three children; ages 13-15 must have at least one adult volunteering with every 5 youth.

· If your schedule changes after you sign up to volunteer with us and you can no longer attend, please un-register so someone else can sign up.

 Inclement Weather Policy:

You will be contacted via email and/or text if a workday is cancelled due to inclement weather.
