This opportunity is to work off your hours towards Court Ordered/Lawyer Referred Community Service. Once you have completed the mandatory orientation you will be able to continue with this volunteer opportunity. You must complete or application process before you begin. If you have not please As you work off your hours with us, you will be considered a "Volunteer" of TAFB. Volunteer roles can include, but are not limited to: Sorting, cans, grocery items and packaged meats Preparing boxes Manual pallet jack operating Sweeping/Mopping Pallet wrapping using shrink wrap Taking cardboard to onsite compactorUnless other arrangements are made, volunteers should be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 30-40 pounds. Volunteer: Orientation: Court Ordered/Lawyer Referred Community ServiceTarrant Area Food Bank does not allow sexual, physical or violent offenses. This includes any type of assault. In order to complete any court-ordered or lawyer-referred community service at Tarrant Area Food Bank, you MUST first attend an orientation prior to beginning any service hours. You will be asked to provide documentation to verify your offense and the number of hours of community service required. This information may come from the court, your lawyer or a probation officer. Once you complete the orientation you will have access to self-register for volunteer spots in the Quality Control - Court Ordered/Lawyer Referred time slots. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the orientation start time. The doors will close 5 minutes after the start time and late arrivals will be asked to attend the next scheduled orientation.
