JOIN THE TEAM!! We can’t do what we do without YOU!! Our faithful volunteers are what makes helping so many people possible. Food Pantry – Tuesday and Friday opportunities to volunteer at the food pantry are available. Volunteer opportunities include: Organizing and distributing cold food items Re-stocking Distribution of items in Met Youth area Clean up Check-In counter (Spanish Speaker) Break-down boxes Grocery Cart runnerVolunteers between the age 11-15 need an adult. Age 16 and up can help without an adult. Dress comfortably with closed toed shoes. First Time Volunteers: Thank you for signing up as a First Time Volunteer! When you arrive, enter at Volunteer Entrance, which is under the covered porch at the Cindy Ramsey Center. Please park not directly in front of the building but instead to the right and left areas, as we leave our parking areas directly in front of the CRC building for our Neighbor Shoppers. Once you arrive, let the Volunteer Check-In know it’s your first time. Once you arrive, we’ll assign you to your specific role. We’re looking forward to seeing you! Saturday Mobile Market Volunteer opportunities include: Food Distribution Volunteer (Lanes 1-4) Traffic/Flags in Distribution (Lanes 1-4) Parking Lot volunteer.Saturday Mobile Market Address 11305 N. Riverside Dr. Fort Worth, TX 76244 817-502-3885 x 402 Welcome & Arrival Time: Thank you for signing up as a First-Time Volunteer! First-Time Volunteers should arrive at 7:00 am to receive the First-Time Volunteer Orientation. Dress: Dress comfortably, and in weather-appropriate attire. Layers are encouraged. Tennis shoes and hiking boots are recommended. Closed-toe shoes are required. Crocs, slip-ons, and house shoes are not acceptable. Parking: The Volunteer Entrance sign indicates the point of entry for volunteers. Park in the volunteer parking area. Check-In/Check-Out: Walk towards the playground, follow the Feather Flags & signage indicating “Volunteer Check In”, proceed inside the building to Check-In. Check-In at the computer KIOSK, grab a vest. Restrooms are available inside the building. Safety Vests: All volunteers are required to have a safety vest on during their volunteering. Vests are provided by CRC at Check-In. You may bring your own bright colored vest. Pre-registration: Volunteers should be pre-registered. Gates Close: Volunteer Entrance gate closes at 7:45 am. Food Entrance gate closes at 10 am. When the gate is closed and all vehicles have exited the lot, the shift is over. End of Shift: At the end of your shift velcro or zip the vests before returning them to the “used-vests” bucket. Weather: The Saturday Mobile Market is open rain or shine. Dress for the weather. The parking lot feels 10 degrees cooler and hotter. The Saturday Mobile Market will not close due to rain - expect delays due to lightning, ice, or Snow. Social Media-Follow the Cindy Ramsey Center on Instagram, Facebook, and check our website for updates. Communication: CRC staff will communicate via the website, social media, and email. CRC follows KISD school closures during the school year. Water / Beverages: Bring a water bottle to rehydrate. CRC provides water bottles on site. Recycle: Recycle by placing bottles in the crate next to the trash can. Beverages provided: Gatorade in hot weather, and free coffee in the morning.
