Who We Are
The Community Health team develops and implements a variety of health interventions in community and healthcare settings to increase healthy food choices and physically active lifestyles. We operate these programs in compliance with USDA’s SNAP-Ed and Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) oversight and through collaborations with various organizations in the community.
What We Do
Nutrition Education volunteers have an opportunity to help ensure that participants have a great learning experience and can put the healthy habits discussed in class into practice at home. You can volunteer as a culinary or nutrition instructor, course assistant, interpreter or store tour assistant. This is a great opportunity to engage your community and give back in a meaningful and personal way.
